Sunflowers in Guánica, Puerto Rico
After several months of hard work, we always try to relax a little bit and do something to free our minds until we are called for duty and begin a new season of fabulous events. This time we invited two of our staff, Rebeca and Fernando, to the Municipality of Guánica to visit the fabulous Finca El Girasol. We really enjoyed the day off, the Sunflowers were beautiful, our own piece of Tuscany on the Caribbean. We visited the south of Puerto Rico which is really impressive, the Municipalities of Yauco, Guánica, Ponce are worth a trip.
Our final stop, La Barca Restaurant in the Municipality of Salinas is a great place to eat good food, drink some beers and enjoy the amazing sunset.

A New Era
Without regard to the state’s law, on Friday June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that same sex unions have a constitutional right to marry nationwide.
A new ERA began.
The 5-4 opinion written by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy will stand as a landmark in civil rights law, culminating a struggle for same sex equality for marriage under the Constitution.
In the past, we have worked “mocked-up” same sex weddings who chose the Caribbean as the venue for their celebration. For us, at STEM Events, these were weddings of couples, regardless their sexual preference, who love each other and want to get married and exchange their vows in front of their loved ones.
We are very happy with these ruling, but mostly we are very happy for same sex couples who finally are treated equally.
Now, these couples can actually say their vows for real, they can say “I DO” and not feel that they are “playing to get married”.
No more mock-up weddings, let us say YES to real same - sex weddings! Let us embrace the opportunity and show the beauty of this Island for their celebration as we have done with all of our couples in the past.

VERSUS
A new magazine in Puerto Rico is born.
When you hear stories about people leaving the Island in search of opportunities outside Puerto Rico, it makes us sad, but when you hear stories as the one we are about to tell you it makes us thrilled with joy.
A talented group of young people got together a few months ago and brainstorm about the idea of doing their own magazine. What? In this economy! They had the guts and they did it. They gathered resources, they got together as a team, they looked for talented people to be part of their group and VERSUS magazine was born.
Last Thursday was the VERSUS launching event and we were there. Maybe the VERSUS team don't know the positive effect their actions have to young entrepreneurs, they are so humble when they speak about "their project", but the domino effect is huge. The event that took place at the Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art was packed. Everybody was talking about how good was to have a genuine new magazine, another media for clients to show their products, another media for talented people to show their ideas and a different point of view to look at. After all, it's called: VERSUS.
It's not another lifestyle magazine, it's a stunningly beautifully designed magazine with great content and 100% made in Puerto Rico, with both printed and on-line platforms.
Let us receive it with open arms and continue supporting great ideas like VERSUS. Enjoy the first cover with Denise Quiñones.
